This card was purchased in Amsterdam, Netherlands by my friend, Lotje. She scours all the great cities of Europe for unusual and beautiful vintage and antique postcards.
This postcard was shipped from The Netherlands to the USA by Lotje.
On the front of this rare vintage postcard is an art portrait of a Wire Jack Russell Terrier and a girl.  Under the portrait is the following caption, "My steady!"  Next to the portrait on the left is the famous L USABAL signature.  Here is some information about the artist:

Usabal was a painter who seemed to have work in Valencia. He also illustrated a number of film posters and glamour postcards that sometimes leaned toward the risqué. During World War One he provided a number of illustrations for postcards, many of which were used by German publishers.
On the back is no handwriting.  The postcard was originally made in Germany and bears the publisher's initials:  WSSB.
Measurements are approximately: 3.5" x 5.5" so this is a standard size postcard.   Aside from some small signs of surface wear, this card is still easy to see and appreciate!
